PATH is a non-profit educational organization established by concerned citizens, professionals and cancer survivors who were no longer content to watch their family and friends suffer from preventable and curable health problems.  PATH believes that most diseases are rarely due to "natural causes", but more likely influenced by environment, nutrition and lifestyle considerations.  PATH was organized to help citizens make an informed decision about alternative and scientifically proven modalities to attain wellness.

TopicTrace Elements and MetalloEnzymes In Health and Disease

Speaker: Jay D. Foster

Jay Foster has been involved in the field of Applied Clinical Nutrition for the past 32 years.  He is a Licensed Nutritional Counselor in Florida and is a Certified Clinical Nutritionist with the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists (IAACN).  He was appointed to the Scientific Council of the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board in 1990 and has been a member ever since.

In 1982, Mr. Foster established Body Chemistry Associates, Inc., in Miami and still serves as President and Executive Director.  More and more, science is revealing benefits of nutrition for the prevention of degenerative disease and the maintenance of optimal health.  Many people today spend thousands of dollars, taking many different supplements, off the shelf, without really knowing what their bodies truly need.  Jay's BodyChem(TM) Program is a revolutionary approach to determining your individual nutritional needs.  It has been experienced by thousands of people from around the world for nearly three decades.

In addition to his private practice, Mr. Foster consults with physicians both locally and internationally.  He has been interviewed extensively on local media and for over 10 years he has hosted his own radio program, "Health Connection Radio", now on broadcast Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri at 9:30-10:00 a.m. EST and Sat, Sun 10:00 a.m. EST on WLVJ 1040am in South Florida.  The show is also simulcast on the internet at www.1800chemist.com .

The benefits of therapeutic nutrients has been demonstrated in many different degenerative diseases.  Jay will explain specific roles played by minerals and vitamins in controlling enzyme function.  Enzymes control most every chemical reaction in our cells and all enzymes need coenzymes (vitamins) and cofactors (minerals) to carry out their function.  Deficiencies or imbalances in these nutrients affect the chemical reactions and have ramifications in Mood Disorders, Heart Disease, Brain Aging and Osteoporosis.  Don't miss his fascinating presentation filled with practical information for attendees.
